How do I get a hint for my sudoku without seeing the whole answer?
Type your puzzle into the sudoku solver and press Hint. It fills in one square and explains why. Solve fills in everything.
Step by step
- Open the sudoku solver.
- Click a square and type a number from 1 to 9 (on a phone, use the number buttons). Leave unknown squares empty.
- Two numbers that clash turn red, so you can spot typing mistakes.
- Press Hint for one square and the reason, or Solve for the whole grid (added numbers are blue).
- Press Clear for a new puzzle, or Load example to try it out.
Questions and fixes
It says the puzzle can’t be solved
There is probably a typing mistake. Look for red squares, or press Check the puzzle.
