How do I solve or play a word ladder?
In the word ladder, type a start word and an end word of the same length and press Find the ladder. Or choose Play for a puzzle of your own.
Step by step
- Open the word ladder.
- To solve: type the From and To words (same length) and press Find the ladder. The changed letter is highlighted at each step.
- To play: choose Play, pick a word length and press New puzzle.
- Type each next word – one letter different, and a real word. Undo takes a step back; Show me finishes it.
Questions and fixes
It says the words must be the same length
A ladder changes one letter at a time, so both words need the same number of letters.
