How do I use the Wordle solver?
Type your guess and press Add. Tap each letter until its colour matches your game: grey, yellow or green. The list shows the words that still fit and the best next guess.
Step by step
- Open the Wordle solver.
- Type the five-letter word you guessed and press Add.
- Tap each tile until it matches your game: grey = not in the word, yellow = in the word but somewhere else, green = right place.
- Look at Possible answers, and the best next guesses (a lower number is better).
- Add your next guess the same way. Use the cross to remove a row, or Clear to start again.
Questions and fixes
The answer isn’t in the list
Check every tile colour matches your game exactly – one wrong colour hides the answer. Untick Common words only to see rarer words.
What is hard mode?
Tick Hard mode if your game makes you use the letters you have found in every guess. Then only guesses that could be the answer are suggested.
