How do I play the letters and numbers game?
Choose a game in the letters and numbers game and press Start. Pick vowels and consonants (or numbers), then beat the 30-second clock.
Step by step
- Open the letters and numbers game.
- Choose a full match, a short match or a practice round, one or two players, and a clock length (45 or 60 seconds for learners).
- Press Start.
- Letters round: press Vowel or Consonant nine times, then type the longest word you can.
- Numbers round: use the numbers to reach the target. When time is up, the best answers are shown.
Questions and fixes
The Vowel or Consonant button is greyed out
You need at least three vowels and four consonants, so a button switches off when choosing it would break that rule.
There is no ticking sound
The sound starts off. Press the Sound button to switch it on.
