How to remember 3
- It sounds like di-di-di-dah-dah. Say it out loud as you listen, and learn the rhythm rather than counting dots and dashes.
- 3 has 5 signals: 3 dots and 2 dashes. It takes 13 units of time to send, where a dot is one unit.
- All numbers in Morse code have five signals. 1 to 5 begin with dots and end with dashes: 3 is 3 dots followed by 2 dashes.
- Once you know the pattern, you can work out every number without memorising a table.
